Sunday, December 2, 5 pm, in Trinity Hall
They say, “Cold hands mean a warm heart,” but a warm heart does not help eliminate the uncomfortable feeling you have when your hands and feet are cold.
Last year’s Hanging of the Greens we collected over 250 pairs of socks and at least that many mittens and gloves to distribute to local missions. This is such a simple way to make a difference in many lives. So, once again Congregational Life will have baskets to fill with new gloves, mittens and socks for men, women and children as part of the Hanging of the Greens.
Congregational Life is also partnering with Christian Education, Mission and the Worship & Music Committees to make this year’s Hanging of the Greens an inter-generational experience!
Mark your calendars now and plan to begin the Advent season on Sunday, December 2, at 5:00 p.m. in Trinity Hall.
Congregational Life will provide beverages and desserts and ask you to bring your favorite appetizer to share, place settings for everyone in your group and, of course, a new pair or two of gloves, mittens or socks. Following our meal we will carry the greens and decorations into the sanctuary as the bagpipers lead us into worship.
