Then Moses summoned Joshua. He said to him, "Be strong. Take courage. God is striding ahead of you and is right there with you. God won't let you down and won't leave you. Don't be intimidated. Don't worry."

I love you, O Lord, my strength. In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help. God reached down from on high, he took me; he drew me out of mighty waters. God brought me out into a broad place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me. God made my feet like the feet of a deer, and set me secure on the heights. You gave me a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip. The Lord lives! Blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation.
